“Himmler Civic Helmet”

“Himmler Civic Helmet”. Rather rare helmet, similar in appearance to WW1 German M17 helmets with the vent lugs removed and replaced by wired vent holes similar to German shako vent holes. It is lighter steel than the M17 as well. Liner is complete and in good shape, chinstrap has seen heavy use and it shows. The liner is leather, with some modern liner string holding the liner fingers together, stamping on one liner finger indicates a small 55 sized liner. Helmet in good overall shape. If you research the helmet under Himmler Civic helmet, this is the same type helmet Himmler wore in some meetings and rallys. For those that don’t know Heinrich Himmler was a prominent high ranking Nazi member until he commited suicide in 45’. He was instrumental with expanding the SS snd it’s goals.
