WW2  German M42 Helmet Original Camo Paint, liner and chinstrap  M42  66/58

WW2 German M42 Helmet Original Camo Paint plus liner and chinstrap M42  size 66/58.
The helmet is an M42 NS 66 Camo. The maker and lot number (D993) are stamped into the rear skirt. The liner band is original to the helmet as well as the split pins and have never been removed. The leather liner is 100% original but was placed into this helmet as the original leather was missing. It is in very salty condition with some apparent fire damage to the paint around the front left split pin. All the fingers are present on the liner and the tie string is
original
. It appears to be a one or two color paint scheme with Tan being the easiest to identify. The chinstrap was added too but I believe it to be an original issue strap.
This not
some recent post war art piece. It is an original combat helmet which surely saw action as evidenced by the charring on the side of the shell. I wont call it a Mediterranean camo as this could have been used on any number of late war zones  Shell has no dents , cracks or holes it is a very nice example of a rare M42 Camo...
