WW2 German M42 helmet heat stamp Hkp64/57

Description

WW2 German M42 helmet heat stamp Hkp64/57.  I got lucky with this particular find. When I acquired this helmet shell it was rusted out bare metal and appeared to have been stored away for along time however (Note....there was no cracks or holes of any kind on the helmet shell just some corrosion on one side of the bottom edge of skirt and a slighy dent towards front crown) I checked for heat stamp markings on the inside skirt just below the rear split pin hole and sure enough it had Hkp64 which proves its an authentic wartime M42 helmet shell. (refer to last picture where it is circled). I decided to bring it back to life adding double coat spray of late wartime field grey. Installed reproduction genuine leather liner with exact reproduction split pins. Leather chin strap is currently on order waiting for its arrival at anytime.
