The fittings are steel, the hook springs are normal.
On the leaf is a rectangular stamp Reichsbetriebsnummer RB Nr 0/0635/0007.
The stamp is infrequent and is not listed in the catalog of known numbers.
The only thing that is certain, judging by the prefix and crux number, is that the strap was produced in western Germany.
Good original item to complete a Luftwaffe drysack or on a helmet (there are enough examples of such non-statutory use on the photos of the war years).
