A beautiful and extremely rare Victorian style made World War One ( WWI ) 1914 made British Metal Tobacco Box for United Kingdom soldiers and her allies with text written in Latin.
Tobacco can sent by the United Kingdoms Royal Princess Mary at Christmas 1914 to soldiers fighting in World War I.
It has die-cut image of the princess, the texts Imperium Brittanicum, Christmas 1914 and the names of nations such as France, served, Belgium, Japan, Russia and Montenegro.
The magnificent art work is vintage Victorian at it's best.  This is the only one of these I have seen in 40 years of collecting as they were only made to be issued in December of 1914 as a one off Christmas gift to the troops.
