An Energex Violet Ray device is an antique medical appliance used during the early 20th century to discharge in electrotherapy. Their construction usually featured a disruptive discharge coil with an interrupter to apply a high voltage, high frequency, low current to the human body for therapeutic purposes.
Condition:
This item is in used condition. All attachments appear to be present with this this device. The rake attachment seems to be missing its metal base. No instruction book included. I have plugged this item in and it makes a buzzing sound like its getting power, and the buzzing intensity changes as you turn the knob on the base of the device but there is no purple violet ray seen in the attachments.
