ON A VINTAGE DELTA 12” DISC SANDER
Delta’s original cast iron clamps are getting hard-to-find.  They were also prone to cracking and eventually breaking in two.
We have developed a much better designed and much needed part…….a CNC machined high strength replacement for the OEM disc sander trunnion clamp.
THESE TRUNNION CLAMPS ARE SOLD BY THE EACH.  YOU ARE BUYING ONE (1) CLAMP FOR .25.
THEY ARE EXPENSIVE, DUE TO THE UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNT OF HEAVT Y STEEL STOCK, CNC MACHINE WORK, ASSEMBLY, AND PLATING COST THAT GOES INTO EACH PRECISION MADE CLAMP.

“steel”
clamp is unbreakable.
The clamps are 100% machined from C1018 steel, meaning no surfaces… including the deep high angle groove has been left untouched by the special carbide tooling in the CNC machining process.
Also, unlike the OEM spring pins that are inserted in the clamp block for positioning into holes on the work table support, the pins in our clamps are high strength precision alloy dowel pins that have been press fit into holes milled into the clamp body.
You will never find a better built, better fitting trunnion clamp than these.
Each clamp has two holes tapped with 10-32 thread for securing a pointer on the clamp for use on either side of the disc sander, depending on where the angle gage is located.  A stainless steel 10-32 pan head screw is included with each clamp.
The photos show our new steel clamps. Also note that a couple of photos show an original cracked cast iron clamp and another shows an attempted repair to a cast iron broken clamp. repaired clamp.  The difference in precision machining and robust design is obvious.
