of the Salvador Dali masterpiece,
“Disintegrating Mother and Child”
Currently residing in a private collection
1951. Lithograph on Arches paper. 22 x 30 inches (59 x 76 cm)
This stunning work is an illustration of Salvador Dali's aesthetically pleasing,
visionary techniques. At the heart of the work is the beatific mother image
formed of five nuclear clusters of holy spheres and fragments, which symbolize
all of life and the five senses. The innocent, angelic child and the dove of peace
are held in the hands of the spiritual mother, the giver of life. The image was a
study for Master Dali's famous Exploding Madonna.
Lithograph is printed on 13 x 16 inch paper and image size is
11 x 13.75. This is one of a Limited Edition printing of 300.
