    Description

    Here is a great piece of art pottery - a pinched ashtray that was made by Bauer and designed by Russel Wright. It is #8A and it measures 6 1/2" long by 5" wide and 2 1/2" high. The exterior glaze is probably Figural White but I not sure what the dark inner glaze is called. It is signed on the unglazed underside although you can't make it all out. You can definitely see the Russel part. This type pottery was only made for about a 6 month time in 1946 so it is rare and hard to find. This ashtray is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks.
