Description
ORIGINAL WWII WW2 German Helmet Liner. A very nice, and becoming difficult to find, helmet liner for a German helmet. This particular example is of early production, having an early aluminum reinforced band and dated 1938. It fits a size 68 shell, so a fairly large helmet (for the Germans). It remains in good condition with pliable leather with only minor wear from age and use. Don’t miss it!*This example was used post-WWII by the Norwegian army. The leather was dyed a reddish-brown, with new split pins installed to hold the leather to the inner liner band, and a new drawstring put in place. That being said, it is still a great item for the restoration of an early M35 helmet. It is becoming difficult to find spare liners these days.
