WWII German M40 Helmet
This is an original WWII German ma
nufactured M40 helmet & liner set. It retains an original brown-green camouflage paint scheme, but unfortunately the child of the veteran who brought it home from the war randomly painted atop the original camouflage finish. This would make for an ideal restoration candidate for the right collector. The interior brim is size stamped Q64, lot number 31482, which denotes 1943 production by the
Quist
, Esslingen factory. It retains its original, albeit heavily deteriorated, leather liner.
