Original M40/55Finnish helmet, manufactured in Germany for export to Finland for their military. These were produced on the original machinery used for
World War II German helmets. This helmet is a 100% original German helmet manufactured World War II type M40steel combat helmet produced by
German World War II manufacturer Hans Romer Fabrik from Neu-Ulm.
The leather liner and chin strap are present and in used condition - although the leather is a bit stiff. The paint color is
Apfel Grün
(apple green)
, with scattered scuffs, scratches, small areas of surface rust, and a few dents in the crown. All this comes with use, time, and age but can be restored or kept in its original condition.
