    ORIGINAL 1960 JOHN DEERE 8010 4010 3010 2010 1010 MAIL BROCHURE "NEW GENERATION"
    John Deere used to send out a "Handy Farm Accountant Book" to customers. In that packet they would include a booklet/catalog of their product line with the accounting booklet deigned to help keep track of things on the farm. When the two cylinder tractors were going to be phased out for the new generation tractors they sent this brochure to the same customers they had been mailing the accounting booklet to. If these were used as sales brochures later I don't know, they could have been. I don't think this brochure was ever reprinted in it's entirety, but I'm not sure of that either.  This brochure in particular was mailed I do know, and was mailed probably in fall/late 1959. It was mailed while the last of the 30 series two cylinder tractors were still being sold. If I understand it correctly this was the first mailing/advertising campaign for the new generation tractors.
    Even though it had been on the farm most of it's life it still shows well. There are a few small short edge tears, edge wear, and some corners show a little wear too. The illustrations still look great, and have great color. If you're familiar with John Deere advertising you'll probably recognize most or all of the artwork displayed. I've photographed every page of this brochure. Please look at the pictures closely there are no returns on this. This mailer/brochure pictured is the one you will receive.
