    Description

    Included is a Finnish M40/55 helmet that has been refurbished to represent a German WW2 M40.  I do not know the size of the shell but the liner is a size 56 and there seems to be enough room to move up to a size 57 liner if need be.  Don't worry if you think that is too small.  Size 56 is supposed to equal a size 7 in the US but this helmet and liner fits me and I tend to wear a 7 1/8 to 7 1/4.
    An At The Front brand liner and chin strap has been added and Hessen Antique brand paint and aluminum oxide texturing has been applied.  Leaving it outside in the rain and sun for a week provided the weathering and effect.
    These Finnish helmets are as close as you will get to a German issue M40 as these were made in the same factories to the same standards.  With the refurbishment, this would be great for reenacting or just to have on a shelf.
