Tiger driver's vision port in detail
About the moveable armor shields to protect the driver's vision port.  The vision opening was protected with a simple hinged flap, but on the Ausf.B through D it was replaced by a two-piece sliding armored visor outside, the whole thing called a ' Fahrersehklappe ', or driver's flap. These were opened from inside via handles on either side of the unit.
