German Made Finnish M40/55 Helmet Large 66 Shell Restored To WW2 German

Description

Original, Finnish M40 style helmet. Contracted to be made for the Finnish army by the Germans. Most often referred to as an “M55” helmet.
The shell is in absolutely perfect condition. Finnish helmets quite often look pretty beaten up, but not this one. There isn’t a single dent. No putty, no filler. Nothing but steel.
Helmet was just refurbished and painted in an early/mid war, green-gray finish. Paint is darker in person. Photos were taken in bright light.
The air vents are WW2 style. Not the hugely oversized ones seen on some Finnish helmets.
Size 58/59, high quality leather liner complete with chinstrap. Marked as a 59, but the leather is very thick and new, making it fit slightly smaller.
