    Description

Extremely rare and beautiful German Baverian Officer World War One WWI silver shoulder boards Judge Lawyer.  The helmet and tunic picture is only there as a reference to who wore these shoulder boards but are not included in the sale.
Pair of authentic real German Colonel Officer World War One (WWI) and earlier very beautiful shoulder boards for a Senior Officer Judge Advocate with flat silver embroidery cord with the Bavarian coat of arms shield topped by a crown and the rank rosette. Both boards have mourning crape sewn on at the time of the death of prince Regent Luitpold. Vary rare. These shoulder boards are still in there original dark netting used for protection which has kept these beauties in near mint state for over a hundred years. A small area of netting has broken through on the very tops of the Rosette to see the gold and on one small part of the silver embroidery cord. I am not the one to remove this antique protective netting but the boards would look absolutely magnificent if it were done. These came from the estate of Senior Judge Advocate Gertner in Germany. Aus dem Nachlass des Oberkriegsgerichtsrates Gerstner.
