Description
East German M56 helmet. Inside Markings, "II", "8", and "60". The original design for the shell was introduced in 1944, but never made it into service with the Wehrmacht. In 1956, East Germans began using the shell with a WW2 style liner. In 1976, this liner style, which was cheaper and more comfortable than the previous liner, was introduced and used until the reunification in 1989. Size: 7 1/2 in.
