Welcome to my Auction.
This lot consists of an antique 1885 John Deere Farmers Pocket Companion.  Piece measures 3 3/4" x 6 1/2".  Booklet is complete and has 48 pages.  Booklet has land measures, number of pounds to the bushel, legal weight, measurement tables, capacity of cisterns, simple interest rules, bank notes, facts for builders, seed requirements for acreage, a section to record expenses for a year and a yearly calendar for 1885.  Also has illustrations of Deere plows, cultivators, harrows, etc.
This booklet is in very good condition for its age.  Binding is still intact.  Wear around edges of covers.  Darkening of mostly covers and first inside sheets.  Original owner has made diary notations about work on 6 pages inside, interesting read.  Just a neat old booklet.
