1970 Hess Fire Truck Front Axle Wheels and Tires.

Description

I’ve seen too many old 1970 Hess Fire Trucks with missing front wheels.  So I paid a local plastic company to make the front wheels.  The tires that I put on the wheels may be slightly smaller than the originals.
I sprayed a coat of chrome paint on them, put on original fire truck tires and cut metal rods to make axels.  The result is a part that looks like an original.  Check out the pictures showing a mint original and the reproduction.
